The best Croatian crew is Enia Ninčević & Romana Župan (470 class, 8th place). Celebration can start. SC Uskok was very happy to be able to welcome some such fine sailors. Today we had two (13th and 14th) races in the class 420 (Gold and Silver) and one race in the class 470 (groups Gold, Silver and Women - except Top 10 of groups Gold and Women: they are waiting start for Medal race). Today we had two races in the 420 (Gold and Silver) and two races in the 470 group Silver. The class 470, groups Gold and Women, sailed just one race because yesterday they made two races. So, it means that every group in both classes sailed 12 races. Weather was sunny and hot. Tomorrow, the last day of Championship, sailing will start around noon and Top 10 of the class 470 (group Gold and Women) will sail Medal race. We posted preliminary results on the Web, after protest hearings, and now we are waiting for the final results...

Today, the 470 class had two races (10th and 11th race) in groups Gold and Women, but group Silver did not finish 11th race because the wind was only 3 knots. Yesterday the results for the 420 class came out a bit late. The reason was that some crews put the wrong numbers on the sails and on the bow, and it took us a while to sort it out in the program.

Opening ceremony is scheduled tommorow at 21.00 in city centre, part of the ceremony will be nations defile in ribs with flags. County president and city mayor will wellcome nations representatives tommorow at the Hall of Zadar county.

Three days before the opening ceremony of the Junior 420 and 470 European Championships 2008, the commotion has already began. The atmosphere is great. Zadar is ready for the start of the championship. Until now 162 boats have arrived. Last few days the weather was sunny and hot with temperatures over 30 degrees.

The measurement team is also going to have practice race, today will measure the CRO team.

More than 100 boats have arrived to Zadar. It is hot these days, so info for you that are still to come - be ready for temperatures over 30.

The fleet is gathering, POR and SUI 420 teams arrived today. Weather report for today: 29 degrees, W 12 knots.

It is sunny and quite warm in Zadar, today 33 degrees. Wind yesterday: W 16 knots, today W 12 knots.

Two more crews arrived, more 470 NED teams. Many teams announced their arrival around the 1st of August.

109 420 crews and 83 470 crews on the entry lists. First one already arrived to Zadar, a 470 crew from NED.

Athletes under 18 years of age are not obliged to have a verified confirmation of their legal guardian to enter Croatia. A letter of confirmation issued by the athlete's club or federation stating that the athlete is entering Croatia to compete at the Europeans is enough. So, coaches and teamleaders, you should have with you a list of competitors that are traveling with you. The list should be issued by your club or federation, properly stamped and signed, stating that the listed competiros are participating in 420/470 junior Europeans held in Zadar from 7th to 15th of August by SC Uskok.
